I knew Iain for many years while he and I worked in Westminster, and in particular in recent years when he worked in the IGXU. He was always extremely professional, and hugely helpful - and a fantastic colleague. He was always the go to officer in the IGXU as his knowledge and insight were second to none. Everything he did was top quality - and nothing was too much for him. He will be and is already hugely missed.

Iain was such a top bloke. I had the privilege of working with him in IGXU on a sister team and he was always friendly, compassionate and really cared. He was always happy for a chat and nothing was too much for him. He would make the time for you and what ever you needed.
You were the best of us. Rest in Peace. You will be missed, but not forgotten. Your tour is over and you served well.

Many years in the police. Battle hardened. Used to all this stuff. I can cope with anything.....
.....Then they bought out Iain's helmet and medals. Thank you to the lady I didn't know who passed me a tissue,
I saw the laser-tag people with the T-shirts on with "Legend" on the back. That saves me a lot of writing.
RIP Legend.
